New knitting skills: magic loop and double knitting. Should be interesting!
Resolution #3 comes from Facebook which makes all my worlds collide. I’m doing the Creativity Challenge – 5 friends, 5 random gifts. CS (NALP friend), NK (knitting friend), CD (former boss), MV (high school friend) and MR (law school friend) – thinking mostly fiber gifts but just loaded up my Pinterest with some other fun ideas 🙂
For resolution #2, I’m lucky because Goodreads makes it easy to count how many books I read each year. Though I am shooting for fewer – only 75 – I am also challenging myself to read 12 non-fiction, 12 Chicago, and 6 from my TBR/unread pile at home. Of course I will allow myself to let those categories overlap as well!
So I was sick on New Year’s Eve and am just now getting to resolutions. First one, a pic each day. I slept through January 1, 2013 in part due to these OTC meds:
So January 2, was all about returning to work after a really relaxing break. That was all about drinking liquids like this one:
Then yesterday, January 3, I worked on my reading for the Chicago Architecture Foundation Docent Class:
Today (or at least tonight), January 4, is about working on a scarf for the law students’ auction to raise funds for summer stipends for otherwise unpaid public interest work. The pattern is called the Dapperly Dashing Scarf designed by Stormy Tetreault, knit with Knit Picks Brava Worsted in the color Currant.
Tomorrow will another day, hopefully with its own post… Or so goes the plan!
